Same good news, and same process. As with kitchens, you also plenty of options here for small updates to your existing bathrooms, from updating flooring or tile up to tearing everything out and starting over, and everything in between.
This sounds like a "no-brainer", but the same design process holds true for bathrooms. Do you want to be able to luxuriate in a large whirlpool tub, or would you rather use that square footage for a spacious cabinet and countertop with double sinks? Can you sacrifice a nearby closet to gain more of what you want? Do you want to integrate closet space so that your bathroom becomes part of a dressing room arrangement?
We recommend that you gather pictures of rooms and features of bathrooms. Keep an ongoing file of everything that strikes your fancy. After a while, you will start to get a view of what you will ultimately want, and it will be easier to set your priorities.
Take your time. There are many decisions involved in any bathroom remodeling project, and there are ways to keep the process organized and smooth. However, an essential element is that you have had the opportunity to review your choices and feel comfortable with your final decisions.
As with many of our decisions, decide what your budget is and let it drive your choices. The range of product selections for bathroom fixtures, cabinets, cabinet knobs and pulls, countertops, flooring, lighting, and sinks can be overwhelming. The range of prices can be broad too. Decide how you would like to invest in your bathroom vs. what might be good for someone else.
