Custom Cabinetry

Sometimes you just cannot find exactly the cabinetry and shelves that you want in ready-made furniture stores and catalogs. Sometimes only a custom design using special or standard woods will fit your vision.

First Step = Function:

Where do you need custom cabinetry built by experienced fine carpenters? Do you need special units in your living room, dining room, library, music room, or another space? Have you considered what types of things you would like to put into these custom cabinets or shelves?

Find what you like:

We recommend that you gather pictures of cabinetry and shelf units that you find appealing and useful. Keep an ongoing file of everything that strikes your fancy. After a while, you will start to get a view of what you will ultimately want, and it will be easier to set your priorities.

Most important:

Take your time. There are many decisions involved in any interior remodeling project, and there are ways to keep the process organized and smooth. However, an essential element is that you have had the opportunity to review your choices and feel comfortable with your final decisions.

Options:

As with many of our decisions, decide what your budget is and let it drive your choices. The range of cabinet, shelf, and moulding styles, woods, and stain and paint colors can be overwhelming. The range of prices can be broad too. Decide how you would like to invest in your interior space vs. what might be good for someone else.
