Smoke Detectors 2x/year

Replace the batteries each time you change the clocks for Daylight Savings Time. Smoke detectors over ten years old should be replaced. If you do not know how old the detectors are, replace if the plastic looks yellowed. Never paint over smoke or CO2 detectors. If they are ever painted over, replace them immediately.
