Mansion in May 2010 - "Definitely NOT Your Mother's Laundry Room" is Ready!

Every few years, the Women’s Association of Morristown Memorial Hospital holds a designer showcase to raise funds on behalf of the hospital. Mansion in May 2010 Designer Showhouse and Gardens will benefit the expansion of the Emergency Department.

We are fortunate to have Fawn Hill Farm at 677 Spring Valley Road in Harding Township as this year’s Mansion. It is just a few minutes from Morristown, and is a beautiful example of a country estate with 34 acres and a number of buildings, including the Mansion and Guest Cottage. There are 35 design spaces and 17 landscape spaces.

Come and see how we have transformed the Laundry, Room 34! We are the last full room before you exit the Mansion.

A completely new layout with sink, desk area, chair, flat screen tv, wrapping station, functional and display cabinetry, new lighting, front loading washer and dryer, dog shower, and storage closet with custom shelving.

It’s a multi-tasking person’s dream space:

• Keep in touch with world events or watch a movie while you monitor that delicate wash.
• Send a quick email to your child at school.
• Finish arranging the flowers that you just picked from your garden.
• Wrap those gifts quickly and easily at the wrapping station.
• And while are at it, give your dog that much-needed cleaning!

Our inspiration: Exotic Rainforest Antique Green stone countertops from India.

We designed the room and the color palette around these unique countertops with an unusual, textured surface.
